Launch of the National Policy Dialogue (NPD): 2016 (as part of the EUWI+ programme)

• Development of the Water Strategy until 2030 (led by the OECD). 
• Strategic Environmental Assessment of the developed draft Water Strategy. 
• Support to updating the targets set under the Protocol on Water and Health. 
• Support to the creation and activities of transboundary basin councils (with France as partner). 
• Support to transboundary cooperation in the Neman and Western Dvina/Daugava River basins, including joint assessment and bilateral consultations.  
• Belarus and Lithuania jointly agreed on the priority areas for the elaboration of the joint River Basin Management Plan for the Neman basin and completed major steps in its preparation, as reflected in the full technical report and key findings 

• Technical workshop on the EUWI+ progress achieved in Belarus and its outlook (4 March 2021)
• The 2nd training workshop on SEA for the draft Strategy of Water Resources Management in the Republic of Belarus (26 March 2020)
• The 2nd National Interagency Steering Committee Meeting of the EUWI+ (5 December 2019)
• Multi-Stakeholder Workshop on the Protocol on Water and Health: Equitable Access to Water and Sanitation and Target-Setting in Belarus (29 October 2019)
• Training workshop on SEA scoping under the SEA pilot project for the draft Strategy of Water Resources Management (12 July 2019)
