High-level seminar on progress and challenges in transboundary water cooperation in Latin America in the framework of the SDGs and their indicator 6.5.2

Virtual, 23-24 February 2021

23 - 24 February 2021

The objective of the seminar is to reflect on the level of cooperation developed in the area of transboundary water resources management in the Latin America region and the progress in the implementation of aspects related to SDG indicator 6.5.2.
Through presentations, debates and contributions from the countries, good practices will be identified as well as difficulties encountered in cooperation. This will allow defining specific lines of work for the CODIA in support of the countries for the achievement of SDG target 6.5.
The seminar is organized as part of the activities of the XXI Conference of Ibero-American Water Directors (CODIA), chaired by Andorra, in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

More information on the event is available on the CODIA website
