The Committee is expected to address:

Day 1: Capacity-building workshops on (1) national reporting process; (2) implementing the 1^st strand on “Quality education and ESD”; (3) implementing the 2^nd strand on “Whole institution approach and ESD”; (4) implementing the 3^rd strand on “Digital education, information and communications technology and ESD”; and (5) working meeting of the UNECE ESD Youth Platform;

Days 2 and 3:

- Implementation of the UNECE Strategy for ESD, including progress in implementing the Strategy; outcomes of the 2024 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development and of the side event organized by UNEP in cooperation with UNECE and UNESCO in the framework of the Forum;

- Update on the outcomes of the recent two workshops for building member States’ capacity in national reporting on the implementation of the Strategy;

- Update on the outcomes of the work of the Ad Hoc Group on Indicators: the final draft of the Format for reporting on the implementation of the UNECE Strategy for ESD (2021–2025) and guidance for working with indicators.

- Launching of the next mandatory reporting cycle (2021–2025) under the Strategy;

- Discussing arrangements for commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the adoption of the UNECE Strategy for ESD in 2025;

- Final proposal for workplan activity on implementing the second priority strand on “Whole institution approach and ESD”;

-  Draft concept note and planning of the first capacity-building activity to be organized in 2023 or 2024 under the Swiss project (2023–2025) on implementing the 4th strand on “Entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and ESD” of     the implementation framework;

- Final proposal for developing a toolkit on whole institution approach and education for sustainable development;

- Update on implementing the 3^rd strand on “Digital education, information and communications technology and ESD”;

- Update on implementing the 4^th strand on “Entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and ESD”: Outcomes of the capacity-building workshop held in Tbilisi, Georgia on 30–31 October 2023; and organizing a second activity – a regional conference on implementing the fourth strand on “Entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and ESD” and Youth Engagement (Limassol, Cyprus, 27–28 June 2024);

- ESD and youth: update on the activities of the UNECE for ESD Youth Platform held since the previous meeting and plans for the future;

- Recent activities to promote ESD in other international forums and other current issues according to the agenda (see agenda uploaded under item 1)
