Due to the ongoing pandemic, this activity, originally planned for 2020 had been moved to 2021. In addition, to the face-to-face workshop, the UNECE organized an Online Teaser Event on 21 October 2020. For more information, click here.
The workshop was held in Belgrade, Serbia on 27-29 October 2021. The workshop was jointly organized by the UNECE Industrial Accidents Convention and the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection (Serbia). It was organized thanks to financing provided by the Ministry of the Ecological Transition of France. The workshop brought together experts in land-use planning, industrial safety, environmental assessment and related fields from countries of South-Eastern Europe to share experiences and good practices on the topic of: coordination of land-use planning and industrial safety procedures and cooperation between the relevant experts for industrial accident prevention, including in a transboundary context.
