The Special Envoy delivered opening remarks at the WHO meeting on global voluntary performance targets, applauding efforts of WHO, UNECE, World Bank and Member States in their work to develop global voluntary performance targets on road safety.
The Special Envoy appreciated that these efforts were built upon existing knowledge generated over the past decades, such as United Nations road safety conventions, identification of key risk factors, and other tools developed by stakeholders.
The Special Envoy also shared about the progress on the establishment of the Untied Nations Road Safety Trust Fund, which will also encourage a coordinated approach to road safety activities.
