The United Nations Trade Data Element Directory (UNTDED) is a Directory comprising a set of data elements intended to facilitate an open interchange of data in international trade. These data elements can be exchanged with any means, paper or electronic, in particular they can be used within a certain set of interchange rules, e.g. UN/EDIFACT.
The UNTDED is continuosly updated, based on reviews by the Maintenance Agency, a joint UNECE - ISO body authorized by UN/CEFACT and by the ISO Council, entrusted with its maintenance in order to keep the UNTDED/ISO7372 up to date to meet changes and new requirements in trade.
