Summary: On 10 June 2013, three NGOs - Greenpeace Slovakia, Via Iuris and GLOBAL 2000/Friends of the Earth Austria- submitted a communication to the Compliance Committee alleging the failure of Slovakia to comply with the Convention’s provisions on public participation and access to justice. Specifically, the communicants alleged that the Party concerned failed to comply with its obligations under the Convention in the course of decision-making on the extension to reactors 3 and 4 of the Mochovce nuclear power plant.
