The eleventh meeting of the Working Group of the Parties to the Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTRs) was held on 22 November 2024 in Geneva, back to back with the fourth Global Round Table on PRTRs on 20-21 November 2024. The above meetings were open to representatives of UN Member States and OECD Member countries as well as stakeholders, such as intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations, industry, academic institutions, members of the public and experts.

The Working Group considered a number of subjects, including:

Preparations for the fifth ordinary session of the Meeting of the Parties, including such issues as development of the Protocol and modernization of PRTRs and Declaration
Compliance and reporting mechanisms
Implementation of the work programme for 2022–2025
Financial matters
