National workshop "Evidence-based policies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals: sustainable housing and urban development in the Kyrgyz Republic"

The United Nations Economic Commission of Europe (UNECE), Norwegian Mapping Authority, UNDP Kyrgyzstan, State Agency for Architecture and Construction, State Registration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, University of Geneva and UN-Habitat are organizing the workshop “Evidence-based policies for sustainable housing and urban development in the Kyrgyz Republic to achieve Sustainable Development Goals”.

The workshop will discuss the role of evidence in developing sustainable housing and urban development policies in the Kyrgyz Republic with a focus on the approaches to data collection and management in the context of the SDG11. The second day of the event will be dedicated to housing management and energy efficiency in housing. This workshop is part of the UNDA project “Evidence-based policies for sustainable housing and urban development to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals”, which is aimed to assist governments in the collection and analysis of national data on housing and urban development for the development of policies in these sectors.
