Thirteen Annual Session
The first day of the session featured the eighth joint meeting of the UNECE Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane and the Global Methane Initiative (GMI) Coal Subcommittee.
On 25 September, the Group reviewed progress in delivering on its 2018-2019 work plan, discussed various aspects of modernization of the energy sector, and addressed gender-related issues.
The second day of the meeting featured the International Centres of Excellence on CMM (ICE-CMM) in Poland and China, which reported on their status and activities. The session provided an opportunity for others interested in hosting their own Centres to learn more about the concept and functioning of ICE-CMMs.
