The objectives of this seminar are to:
- Present to a specialized audience from Moldova and Ukraine the concept of digital transformation of multimodal data and document exchange along cross-border supply chain (digital corridor), using the UN semantic standards and MMT RDM,
- Highlight possibilities to implement the UN/CEFACT standards and MMT RDM for the application of the EU Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation and EU Maritime Single Window Environment Regulation, which both use the UN/CEFACT standards to provide multimodal interoperability,
- Link digital transformation of cargo information exchange in Moldova and Ukraine to broader initiatives: implementation of the EU eFTI Regulation and the acquis communautaire, thus advancing the European integration of Moldova and Ukraine; alignment of data exchange with the Trans-Caspian corridor, including a project on the digital transformation of railway consignment notes,
- Analyse the importance of harmonized and standardized digitalization of multimodal data and document exchange on cargo for improving the efficiency of digital trade and transport corridors involving Moldova and Ukraine,
- Analyse opportunities for pilot projects on the digital transformation of multimodal data and document exchange, identify such projects for Moldova and Ukraine,
- Identify possibilities for capacity-building for local experts to work on multimodal digital transformation using the UN/CEFACT standards and MMT RDM, in a “learning-by-doing” approach while implementing pilot projects,
- Examine internal and external resources to support this work,
