"Eurasian Cities: New Realities along the Silk Road"

A presentation of a new World Bank report-"Eurasian Cities: New Realities along the Silk Road," followed by a UNECE discussion panel, will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 15:00 to 17:15 in Room VII at the Palais des Nations. This event is co-organized by the World Bank and the UNECE. This new World Bank report discusses the challenges Eurasian cities face in planning, in financing their development, connecting to the rest of the world, and greening their economies.  "Eurasian Cities" also provides some ideas on how policy makers can harness the economic power of cities to drive national economic development.
