The research mission in Armenia and the workshop in Goris are part of a larger activity, implemented from 2015 until 2016, and resulted in the elaboration first of the Smart City Profile and then, of the Action Plan for the city of Goris.
The research mission allowed local and international experts, local and national authorities and city’s stakeholders, to discuss and draw an overview of the city’s issues and citizens’ needs.
During this workshop, the approach called the Pyramid lite Workshop was tested. It is based on the Pyramid 2030 campaign, initiated by the AtKisson Group to support UN in its process towards the creation and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The workshop is part of the initiative called “United Smart Cities”, which is implemented jointly with other international partners. Please see a short description on the project at the “United Smart Cities” page.
