This online workshop was organized by the Ministry for Social Accommodation of Malta, in cooperation with  the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Housing Europe, UN-Habitat and Union for the Mediterranean within the initiative “#Housing2030 - Improving Housing Affordability in the UNECE region”.  

The workshop presented the experiences and good practices of Malta as well as of other countries and cities in Europe in developing and implementing policies for adequate, affordable and healthy. The workshop:

• explored housing affordability challenges and existing policy instruments for improving housing affordability in Europe, especially in the Mediterranean region
• facilitated the exchange and dissemination of “good practices” in improving housing affordability among countries and cities
• identify needs of policymakers to further develop and implement policies addressing housing affordability.

The workshop was conducted via Zoom.
