On 26 May, the Special Envoy met with Mr. Gian Lorenzo Cornado, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Italy to the UN in Geneva. The Special Envoy inquired about collaboration with the UNRSF as well as involvement in 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021 and requested support to get mobility on the agenda.
