UNECE webinar: How to jumpstart hydrogen production and export potential of CIS countries?

The webinar is a formal launch of the UNECE extra-budgetary project: “Sustainable hydrogen production in the UNECE region and its role in the development of a hydrogen ecosystem and export potential”.

The project promotes sustainable hydrogen production by applying best-practice technologies and innovative business models. Its key aims are to: 

  • Understand the potential of CIS countries to develop hydrogen technologies 

  • Increase resilience of the power sector and energy-intensive industries  

  • Enhance the capacity of their statistical units to collect good quality data 

  • Improve energy cooperation on transboundary issues to achieve sustainable energy, 

The webinar on 8 December 2021, 10:00 - 13:00 CET (online) will:

  • Outline the project’s objectives and activities planned for 2022 

  • Review global experiences in accelerating transition to hydrogen-based society 

  • Discuss how CIS countries could jumpstart their hydrogen production and export potential
