The eighth meeting of the Working Group on Water and Health took place in Geneva, from 21 to 22 October 2015.

It was held back to back with the twelfth meeting of the Protocol’s Compliance Committee (Geneva, 19–20 October 2015) and the fifteenth meeting of the Bureau of the Protocol (Geneva, 23 October 2015).

The main objectives of the eighth meeting of the Working Group were:

to review the implementation of the programme of work for the period 2014–2016 (ECE/MP.WH/11/Add.1− EUDCE/1206123/3.1/2013/MOP-3/06/Add.1) adopted at the third session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol (Oslo, 25–27 November 2013)
to provide guidance on its further development, with particular consideration of the financial situation
to initiate a strategic discussion towards the formulation of the programme of work for 2017–2019 to be adopted at the fourth session of the Meeting of the Parties (Bern, 14–16 November 2016).
