The technical workshop on Supporting the monitoring and implementation of the SDGs: Transboundary water cooperation SDG 6 Indicator 6.5.2 for the Arab region was held on 5 March 2020 in Beirut, Lebanon.
To support the second reporting exercise, taking place in 2020, the technical workshop was organized as part of a series of thematic consultations and sub-regional workshops, to build capacity in monitoring progress and reporting on SDG indicator 6.5.2, within the framework of UN-Water Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG 6 and as activities recommended by the Intergovernmental Council of UNESCO-IHP and the Meeting of the Parties to the Water Convention.

The meeting was targeted to experts responsible for completing the reporting template or coordinating the reporting process on SDG indicator 6.5.2 from the Arab region.
