Consultative workshop for the development of an action plan to ensure equitable access to water and sanitation in the region of Sumadija and Pomoravlje

This consultative workshop for the development of an action plan to ensure equitable access to water and sanitation in Sumadija and Pomoravlje in Serbia will built on the scorecard assessment exercise carried out in 2017 in these two districts. It aimed at identifying priorities for the development of the regional equitable access action plan. Relevant Serbian stakeholders from the regional and national levels attended and participated to this workshop. The methodology for developing an action plan was be presented and thematic group works allowed participants to brainstorm and exchange on how to identify specific measures to improve equitable access to water and sanitation at regional level. A draft list of priorities was made for further discussion to develop the action plan in the coming months.

This workshop was organized by the Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Serbian Ministry of Health and the Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje (REDASP), with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
