Further to our news of 9 April, 26 April, 1 June and 1 October 2001, the TIR secretariat has been informed that the Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YCCI) has set up the necessary guarantee arrangements with the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the international insurers and will start its issuing and guaranteeing activities as of 1 December 2001. As a result, Yugoslavia is to be considered a country with which a TIR transit operation can be established as of that date.
A list of Yugoslav Customs offices (departure, destination and en route) approved for TIR operations is enclosed. Further details on TIR Customs transit arrangements in and with Yugoslavia may be obtained from the TIR secretariat or the IRU.
