On 9 October 2023, the Special Envoy chaired the First Group of Advisors Meeting in the context of the Friends of the Special Envoy for Road Safety, in Geneva. The session aimed at seeking the Advisors’ advice in developing an Engagement Plan for the Members of the Friends of the Special Envoy for Road Safety. Considerations for potential activities and initiatives were made under the following categories: communications, advocacy and awareness; safe and affordable helmets campaign; collaboration for capacity building for low- to middle-income governments; inclusivity, youth and gender initiatives; and financing for road safety. Nearly 40 participants attended the First Advisors Meeting.
