The 1st meeting of the Expert Group was held in the Hague, Netherlands, on 27-28 November 2018, hosted by the Government of the Netherlands. The experts exchanged their views on their vision and the scope of work and the possible outputs. The Group agreed on developing the draft Concept Note for the post-2019 implementation framework and the outline of the post-2019 draft Workplan.  The Concept Note would consist of the four strands/thematic areas: 1. Whole institution approach to ESD – institutions as communities of transformational learning; 2. Quality education and ESD; 3. Digital education, information and communications technology and ESD; and 4. Entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and ESD. The draft Concept Note and the draft Workplan for post-2019 implementation framework will be submitted for discussion at the 14th session of the UNECE Steering Committee on ESD to be held in Geneva on2 - 3 May 2019.
