A1.1 A study to contribute to the  integrated system of environmental and economic accounting (SEEA) for forests (UN Statistical Division framework for ecosystem accounting) (consultancy)

2. Research on and compilation of a  paper on “Measuring the value of forests in a green economy” has been compiled successfully (link).

1. A workshop on "Forest Products Markets and Forest Sector Workforce in the Balkans" was held successfully from 8 - 10 December 2015. It brought together 30 experts from the Balkans and Central Asia and Caucasus (UNECE/FAO UNDA project on Sustainable Forest Management for Greener Economies in the Caucasus and Central Asia) to discuss, exchange experiences, map out the needs for capacity building as well as formulate recommendations for the future work on forest product markets and forest sector workforce.

A1.4 Preparing a paper on the valuation and payment of ecosystem services (consultancy)

1. An online survey on “Forests and Water: Valuation and Payments for Forest Ecosystem Services (FES)” was developed and and received more than 90 replies by 22. January 2016 (https://www.research.net/r/ZS2YFRT ).

2. Results of the questionnaire will be presented at the workshop during the International Day of Forests (“Forests and Water”) on 21. March 2016 (

www.unece.org/index.php?id=41874).
