IRU has informed the ECE secretariat that, as of 6 June 2021, the TIR system will become active for Qatar. With this latest addition, the number of TIR operational countries will be brought to 65. The competent authorities have authorized the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI/097) to act as TIR issuing and guaranteeing association for Qatar.
