On 12 January 2022, the Special Envoy virtually met with Mr. Riccardo Puliti, Vice-President, Infrastructure. The Special Envoy encouraged follow-up on actions from his meeting with WB representatives in October, namely, joint country missions to advance the road safety agenda at the highest country level; scale up Safe Helmets Initiative and jointly support helmet launch events to advocate for the application of UN regulation no. 22; and private investment in road safety, including approaches to be implemented for private capital mobilization.
