On 22 March 2023, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Vincenzo Grassi, Permanent Representative of Italy to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva. Throughout the discussion, the Special Envoy commended the Ambassador on the above new position from February 2023; shared background information on road safety in the 2030 Development Agenda; encouraged engagement with the UNRSF; as well as invited future collaboration with Italy, including a joint event during the year under the Geneva Friends of Road Safety Network.
