On 2 February 2023, the Special Envoy met with Mr. Remy Rioux, Chief Executive Officer of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The Special Envoy expressed his appreciation to the AFD for their investment and contribution to road safety over the years, including the donation made to the UNRSF in 2020. The Special Envoy also spoke about his visits to Viet Nam and Cambodia in November 2022, and the need for more support from the AFD.
