On 28 February 2022, the ITU Global Standards Symposium was held under the theme “International standards to enable the digital transformation and achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs)”. The Special Envoy gave the keynote remarks for the discussion on “Artificial Intelligence for Road Safety”. In his remarks, the Special Envoy included that artificial intelligence could allow us to make all transport modes safer and more efficient.
