UNECE at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

SDGs

This year’s High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), taking place from 6-15 July, will underscore the SDGs as the pathway to COVID-19 recovery and building a healthier, more inclusive and sustainable future. Nine SDGs will be in focus: Goals 1 on no poverty, 2 on zero hunger, 3 on good health and well-being, 8 on decent work and economic growth, 10 on reduced inequalities, 12 on responsible consumption and production, 13 on climate action, 16 on peace, justice and strong institutions, and 17 on partnerships.

UNECE will be fully engaged in the Forum’s discussions across a range of areas:

Informing the global debates with a regional perspective, the outcomes of the UNECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development 2021 will provide the region’s official contribution to the HLPF.

This year’s global SDGs report, prepared by UNDESA with contributions from across the UN system, will be launched on 6 July.

At the HLPF, 44 countries – including Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Norway, San Marino, Spain and Sweden from the UNECE region – will be presenting Voluntary National Reviews, highlighting actions they are taking to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
