On 23 November 2020, the International Transport Forum (ITF) hosted a webinar to follow the launch of a new report through the Safer City Streets initiative.
A panel of city representatives shared their experience and vision to reduce the risk of death and injury in urban traffic. The event included a short presentation of the main findings from the latest ITF report, titled “Monitoring Progress in Urban Road Safety: Safer City Streets”, which tracks progress made across cities and updates earlier benchmarking results.
The Special Envoy contributed as a keynote speaker and, reiterated his support to bring the results of ITF work to all cities, particularly in low- and middle-income countries that are committing to improving safety but often lack the capacity, knowledge and funding.
