The Global Methane, Climate and Clean Air Forum was a joint event sponsored by the Global Methane Initiative (GMI) and the Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC). The forum took place on 26-30 September 2022, in Washington, D.C. and was brought together policymakers, industry leaders, technical experts, and researchers from around the world to discuss opportunities to protect the climate and improve air quality with a special focus on methane.

The UNECE Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane and Just Transition contributed to the Forum by organizing the session titled: Best Practices in Policies for CMM Mitigation, which featured five presentations delivered by the following Experts (in an alphabetical order):

  • Mr. Michal Drabik, UNECE,
  • Mr. Brent Fitzgerald, Winrock-International,
  • Mr. Richard Mattus, RM Business Consulting, 
  • Mr. Raymond Pilcher, Raven Ridge Resources Inc.,
  • Mr. Clark Talkington, Advanced Resources International, Inc.


The presentations were followed by a short Q&A session allowing the audience to engage with the speakers.
