The small group on Disaster Risk Reduction and Natural Hazards Triggering Technological Accidents (Natech) that has been established under the Bureau of the Industrial Accidents Convention, held its fourth meeting together with partners to discuss the detailed agenda, moderation and session format of a UNECE/EIB/OECD/Norway/Slovenia featured session at the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction (EFDRR 2021), taking place 24-26 November 2021 in Matosinhos, Portugal and online. The title of the featured session is Preventing another Sandoz, Baia Mare or Beirut accident: Perspectives on risk management in the context of the Sendai Framework, planned for 24 November from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m CET.

The group also continued an exchange of ideas, based on a draft outline, for a joint UNECE/OECD seminar on Natech risk management under the framework of the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UNECE Industrial Accidents Convention.
