Global Policy Dialogue on “Building Urban Economic Resilience During and After COVID-19”

Global Policy Dialogue on “Building Urban Economic Resilience During and After COVID-19”

29 October 2021

Time: 1–3 p.m. CET

Language: English

The meeting was organized online in Zoom.

The Global Policy Dialogue, organized by UN-HABITAT, builds on the regional outputs and aims to provide a platform for sharing among the different regions by exchanging views within a wider global context, and synthesize the generated knowledge into an overarching guiding document endorsed by all the regions.

The dialogue was preceded by a series bilateral meetings between UN-HABITAT and each Regional Commission’s group of representatives to review and agree upon the common issues and recommended policies derived from the various Regional Policy Briefs, as preparation for the joint dialogue with all regions present.

The outcome of the dialogue is a Global Policy Paper that provides an overview of cities common global urban economic resilience gaps and issues, with a consolidated set of relevant policy recommendations and guiding principles for urban economic recovery and resilience building.
