Annual meeting of the Expert Working Group (EWG) related to the Flexible Framework Initiative for Addressing Chemical Accident Prevention and Preparedness (CAPP).

By hosting this meeting, UNEP hopes to facilitate the sharing of experience between different organizations working on similar issues related to industrial risk reduction. The meeting will be an opportunity to obtain first-hand feedback from representatives of a number of African and Asian countries currently working with UNEP to improve accident prevention and preparedness under the scope of the Initiative.

In this meeting UNEP will launch a new publication: the “Implementation Support Package” to accompany the Flexible Framework for Addressing Chemical Accident Prevention and Preparedness: A Guidance Document. The "Implementation Support Package" aims to help organizations and individuals in getting involved in the country level CAPP activities, which the Initiative is promoting.
