The workshop brought together about 30 participants representing water and environmental authorities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as international organizations, bilateral donors and NGOs.
The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the self-assessment of the equity of access to water and sanitation in Moldova, which was carried out between July and November 2014. Priorities to ensure equitable access to water and sanitation in Moldova and recommendations for future action were then discussed.
The self-assessment exercise was coordinated by the NGO Solidarity Water for Europe in Moldova (SEAM) together with the Ministry of Environment, thanks to funds provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and expert support from UNECE.
