The UNECE Committee on Housing and Land Management, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of Slovakia and the Ministry of Regional Development of Czech Republic, organzed a side event “Priorities for HABITAT III in the UNECE Region” during the First Session of the Preparatory Committee for the United Nations Conference on Housing and Urban Development.
The event took place on 17 September at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Room C of the UN Headquarters in New York.
Outline of the event: To monitor progress with the implementation of the UNECE Strategy on Housing and Land Management in the ECE Region 2014-2020, the UNECE Committee on Housing and Land Management prepared a regional study “Challenges and Priorities in Housing and Urban Development”. The side event presented the preliminary findings of the study and discussed the preparations for HABITAT III in the UNECE region.
