Regional Population Meeting

This inter-governmental meeting was held during 7-9 December 1998 at the Hilton Hotel in Budapest (Hungary). The meeting was organised within the framework of the world-wide quinquennial review and appraisal of the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action. It reviewed the implementation of the Programme of Action and the Recommendations of the 1993 European Population Conference. The priority themes of the meeting included: fertility, family and gender issues; reproductive rights and sexual and reproductive health; mortality and health; population ageing; and international migration. The meeting adopted Conclusions, which have been published along with selected conference materials. Complete information on this meeting is as follows:
