Protocol Webinar Series 2020
Please join a new series of thematic webinars under the Protocol on Water and Health!
The thematic sessions will address several areas of work under the Protocol and cover different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to water, sanitation, hygiene and health. In times where we cannot meet in person, the sessions provide an opportunity to stay connected, discuss current issues, best practices and solutions.
The webinars will be held in English, without interpretation. A special session in Russian featuring main highlights from the previous thematic sessions will be organized.
Webinar 1 - “Don’t Forget the Small Ones”
Sufficient financial means are required to provide safe and sustainable small-scale water supply and sanitation services that protect public health. Frequently, financing these systems faces a number of challenges. In this webinar, we launch the publication Costing and financing of small-scale water supply and sanitation services, developed under the Protocol on Water and Health and aimed at guiding policymakers responsible for water and sanitation in defining strategies for sustainable financing. The webinar will introduce the key concepts of the document and feature case examples of successful action taken from several countries of the pan-European region.
The German Environment Agency and the Institute of Public Health of Serbia are co-organizers.
