The COVID-19 pandemic has proved the vital role of ICTs in everyday life – from work to home activities, from communicating on health issues to education and in many more areas.  The use of ICTs is transforming existing gender-based inequalities into opportunities and resources; it is increasing the need to use digital technologies flexibility of working arrangements in many sectors and empower women and girls with new tools and solutions. Addressing gender inequality has been recognised in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as an important pathway of development.

The international workshop on “Use of ICTs for the Promotion and Implementation of Gender Equality in Small Business Development” contributes to capacity building and provides support, guidance and managerial tools to women entrepreneurs on the use of ICTs in business. The workshop discusses the various ways in which the new technologies can influence small business management, including creating networks and opportunities for cooperation of participants.
