The workshop discussed how the use of ICT can support to build safer and more sustainable cities in the path towards the Agenda 2030. This session identified key challenges and opportunities for cities to become safer and smarter and present examples of good practices from the relevant stakeholders. 

The workshop was organized by UN-Habitat and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

The workshop was organized as a session of the conference “Conference on “Reviewing the State of Safety in World Cities” which offered a global platform to assess the state of safety of cities around the world and to exchange promising practices on achieving safer cities through different event formats (market-places, break-out out sessions, etc.).
