National workshop “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Georgia: The Contribution of SDG Indicators to Evidence-based Policy-making for Sustainable Housing, Urban Development and Land Management at National and Local Levels"

The United Nations Economic Commission of Europe (UNECE), the Norwegian Mapping Authority, Ministry of Innovation and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Land Registry of Georgia, the University of Geneva and UN-Habitat are organizing the national workshop “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Georgia: The Contribution of SDG Indicators to Evidence-based Policy-making for Sustainable Housing, Urban Development and Land Management at National and Local Levels”.

The workshop will discuss the role of evidence in developing sustainable housing and urban development policies in Georgia, with a focus on different approaches to data collection and management in the context of the SDG11. The second day of the event will be dedicated to urban planning. This workshop is part of the UNDA project “Evidence-based policies for sustainable housing and urban development to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals”, which is aimed to assist governments in the collection and analysis of the national data on housing and urban development for the development of policies in these sectors.
