THE PEP Relay race workshops is a series of national workshops on sustainable transport policies hosted by different cities in the UNECE region. The workshops share knowledge across the pan-European region by passing the “baton” from city to city to disseminate good practices in sustainable and healthy urban mobility and transport. Workshops also recommend action points for policymakers to implement an integrated policy approach to transport, health and environment.

The next relay race workshop will be in the German city of Mannheim on 21 September 2017, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary from the invention of the bicycle in Mannheim by  Karl Drais. The workshop will focus on active mobility, with specific accent on cycling. THE PEP workshop will be preceded (19-20 September) by an international cycling conference.
