The training is held within the framework of the pilot SPECA Network of Business Incubators and Accelerators for Sustainable Development launched following the third session of the SPECA WG on ITSD. The Network is a platform for dialogue and exchange of views on issues, challenges and solutions, as well as best practices related to supporting innovative entrepreneurship through business incubators (BIs) and accelerators (BAs) in the SPECA subregion. It will also support the implementation of the SPECA Innovation Strategy for Sustainable Development and its Action Plan.
During the training, the following questions will be discussed: 1) how to improve the quality of the selection of projects in acceleration projects, get a greater effect from startups participating in the project through active interaction and setting the right growth indicators, 2) how to interact with business angel networks and venture funds, 3) how carry out the overall successful development of the business incubation and acceleration program. Mr. Irakli Kashibadze, entrepreneur, CEO of Future Laboratory, Startup Central Asia, delivers the training sessions.
The training is intended for managers and staff of business incubators and accelerators in the SPECA countries, as well as policymakers, experts who develop or implement innovation policies, including aspects related to supporting innovative enterprises (business incubators and accelerators).
