“TERRA DI SAN MARINO” CONSORTIUM AND MUSEUM OF RURAL LIFE AND TRADITIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO

RURAL HOSPITALITY IN THE REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO
San Marino 7Oct2022
San Marino Terra

The “Terra di San Marino” Agricultural Cooperative Consortium was established in 2003 to protect and enhance the flavours and authenticity of local production. It is a San Marino cooperative project, launched by the trade associations of this sector, the State of San Marino and the 6 farmers’ cooperatives of the territory: San Marino breeders Cooperative, Cooperative for the Storage of Agricultural Products, San Marino Olive Growers Cooperative, San Marino Wine Consortium, San Marino Beekeepers' Cooperative and San Marino Milk Producers’ Cooperative.

It is a joint project through which San Marino  intends to promote quality in agriculture and which shows the awareness and commitment of San Marino farmers to guarantee food value and safety together with the protection of the environment and of rural traditions.

The “Terra di San Marino” mark is only awarded to those products that are typically and naturally made in San Marino after quality controls have been carried out, that is, originating exclusively in the territory of San Marino and which have followed the strict production rules laid down by the Consortium.

The Terra di San Marino Consortium is based at the Casa Fabrica which, today, is now home to the Museum of Rural Life and Traditions of the Republic of San Marino and was created to protect a cultural heritage for future generations.

Casa Fabrica welcomes visitors by transporting them into the rural atmosphere through a journey into the history and traditions of San Marino, with rooms and objects that reveal a time now forgotten...
