Project description:

This project aims to strengthen the sustainable management of natural resources by adopting an integrated Food-Water-Energy Nexus approach. It addresses the interdependencies between these sectors to enhance resilience and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on food security, water sanitation, and energy security across multiple regions.

Objectives:

  • Promote integrated management of food, water, and energy resources to enhance resilience.
  • Develop and implement best practices and innovative methodologies for sustainable resource management.
  • Facilitate multilateral cooperation and capacity building at national and regional levels.

Project activities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop guidelines for nexus-based resource management.
  • Organize capacity-building workshops and training sessions for stakeholders.
  • Implement pilot projects in beneficiary countries to demonstrate best practices.
  • Foster regional cooperation and knowledge exchange through forums and platforms.
