The English, French and Russian versions of the TIR Handbook have been revised and now contain the text as updated on 1 August 2001. Apart from some small changes to the text of the body of the Convention, the updates contain inter alia the amendments to Annexes 2 and 7 regarding the introduction of vehicles with sliding sheets, the amended text of the Recommendation of 20 October 1995 on the introduction of a control system for TIR Carnets and the text of the Recommendation of 20 October 2000 on the introduction of an identification (ID) number of the TIR Carnet Holder in the TIR Carnet.
