On 7 September 2022, the Special Envoy met virtually with Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, UN Envoy on Technology. On the occasion, the Special Envoy highlighted road crash fatalities and injuries as a global, regional, and national development challenge; introduced the role of artificial intelligence and digital technology for road safety; and provided an overview on the UN milestones for global road safety.
