On 18 February 2022, the Special Envoy met with Ms. Afshan Khan, Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia for UNICEF to develop a stronger partnership with the agency. The Special Envoy expressed his interest in road safety to become a higher priority for UNICEF. He highlighted that road safety is not explicitly stated in the UNICEF Strategic Plan 2022-2025. The Special Envoy also invited collaboration on developing a global curriculum on road safety for school-aged children.
