Prof. Michael Munger, Professor of Political Science and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Political Science
Prof. Munger has worked for the US Federal Trade Commission, and taught at Dartmouth, University of Texas, and University of North Carolina before moving to Duke in 1997. He was Director of the Master of Public Administration Program at UNC, and chaired Duke's Political Science Department for 10 years. He was North American editor for the journal Public Choice and is a past President of the Public Choice Society. His primary research focus is on the functioning of markets, regulation, and government institutions and his most recent books address the platform economy and the question of whether capitalism is sustainable.
