The workshop is organized jointly by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development (MoESD) of Georgia, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office in Georgia, and Energy Efficiency Centre (EEC) Georgia. Working languages of the workshop are English and Georgian, with simultaneous interpretation.

UNECE is one of the partners implementing UN Development Account projectGlobal Initiative towards post-Covid-19 resurgence of the MSME sector”. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity and resilience of micro-, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in developing countries and countries with economies in transition to mitigate the economic and social impact of the global Covid-19 crisis.

As part of its task under the project, UNECE developed Guidelines and Best Practices for Micro-, Small and Medium Enterprises in Delivering Energy-Efficient Products and in Providing Renewable Energy Equipment. Georgia is one of the pilot countries for which customized Guidelines and Best Practices have been developed. At the workshop, its main findings and recommendations will be presented and discussed.
